King George Island
Start your charter at King George Island
You will arrive to the island by plane from Punta Arena airport. This is the main island of the South Shetland Islands. The yacht will await for you at anchor in Maxwell Bay. Start your cruise by navigating South and enjoy the beautiful views over the Icebergs and Chinstrap Penguins. It will take you approximately 8 hours to arrive to Paulet Island.
Paulet Island
Your Itinerary to Paulet Island
Paulet Island is located at the North-eastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula. It measures 1,5km in diameter and is made of lava flows. The island was discovered by James Clark Ross during his expedition from 1839-1843 and is named after Lord George Paulet, a British Captain. The island is home to an Adelie penguin colony. The are at least100 000 breeding pairs.
Deception Island

Cruise to Deception island for approximately 10 hours. It is the only island where you can cruise directly into the crater of a live volcano. Disembark and hike up the Ronald hill and enjoy the ruins of the whaling factory. The eruption of 1970 has created a lunar landscape with a beautiful crater. Your crew can organise a diving expedition for you.
Cierva Cove
Your Itinerary continues to Cierva Cove
Welcome to the Cierva Cove, a bay filled with crushed ice. It is home to leopard seals and whales.
Disembark and discover how the local population lives here at the Argentinean Primavera Scientific base. Alongside with orange-red buildings you will enjoy the rocky landscape and green grass. It is also a perfect spot to watch a sunset.
Paradise Harbour

Paradise Harbour is surrounded by glaciated mountains and ice cliffs. You can discover some spectacular group of icebergs producing fascinating shapes in different shades of blue. This harbour shelters leopard and crabeater seals and penguins. It may not be possible for you to disembark, but it is definitely worth a visit. You can also enjoy some kayaking in the harbour.
Port Lockroy
Your Itinerary to Port Lockroy
Only one hour cruise away, Port Lockroy is a sheltered natural harbour and a historical protected site. The harbour was discovered by a French explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot during his 1903-1905 expedition. A British base was built here in 1944. This harbour shelters Gentoo penguins. Enjoy the beautiful views over this peaceful harbour.
Lemaire Channel
Your Itinerary continues to Lemaire Channel
Being only 1 600 meters wide, this channel is the narrowest one.
It runs for 11km between the Booth Island Mountains and the Peninsula. It is a very photogenic spot and was first visited by Adrien de Gerlache in 1898 and named after a Belgian explorer of the Congo – Charles Lemaire.
Pleneau Island
Your Itinerary to Pleneau Island
Pleneau island is worth visiting. With snow-heaped rocks and shingle beaches this island is home to a few hundreds of penguins.
If you are lucky you might also find some blue-eyed shags and Weddell and Elephant seals that halt out into the small cove from time to time. You can disembark and hike up on the top of the snow dome which offers a panoramic view on Booth Island.
King George Island
Your Itinerary back to King George Island
Cruise back to King George Island and before heading home disembark at Frei Station where you can visit the Russian Orthodox Trinity church. If you have time before your flight, visit the Las Estrellas villa which is the first settlement and the Drake Passage. You can also take the yacht’s tender and navigate towards Ardley Island to see some penguin colonies.
