Fregola Sarda alla Vongole is a local Sardinian dish that consists of small balls of pasta (fregola) in a delicious aromatic white wine pomodoro sauce topped with fresh clams and basil. Definitely a must try.
Pompia is a citrus fruit somewhere between a lemon and a grapefruit that originates from and is only found in Sardinia. The locals discovered that it creates an excellent digestive liqueur. It is best enjoyed pre-food coma after a mountain of fregola.
