Astonishing dining experience in Sardinia
When it comes to dining, Sardinia is home to some of the finest restaurants in the Mediterranean, with several boasting Michelin stars.
Ristorante ‘La Scogliera’ is a romantic fine dining experience, with a sweeping ocean vista- it is no wonder it has become a hotspot for international jet setters. The sophisticated cuisine draws influence from maritime, Sardinian, and Mediterranean culture and history that all comes together at the table in a phenomenal union.
‘La Scogliera’ is a way of life rather than a restaurant. The triumph of flavors accompanies and blend with visual and aromatic sensations, at this oasis in the middle of the ocean. This truly is fine dining at its finest.
‘ConFusion’, a Michelin Star restaurant run by Chef Italo Bassi, will blow your mind if you appreciate amazing seafood. The restaurant’s immaculate terraced garden’s tranquil atmosphere pairs wonderfully with its exquisite menu. Set the mood by ordering a bottle of champagne and the golden osetra caviar.
The restaurant Quattro Passi al Pescatore, formerly known as Il Pescatore, is situated right on the water. A romantic setting for lunch or supper with loved ones, this restaurant features candle-lit tables on a covered patio that is cut into the granite stones that flank the shoreline. As implied by the name and location, this restaurant specializes in seafood utilizing fresh and local island produce. Savor a seafood pasta feast as you gaze across the bay of Porto Cervo village.
Just south of the capital of Cagliari lies the town of Pula, which is home to Francesco Staras incredible seafood restaurant, Fradis Minoris. Perched on the Nora Lagoon this restaurant only uses locally sourced fish and vegetables in their exquisite plates. Chef Staras mission is to provide zero-waste, sustainable, and environmentally friendly dishes. We highly recommend the seven-course tasting menu, ‘Da Mare,’ a selection of seafood dishes that will give you a fantastic insight into the flavors on this side of the island.
These restaurants are often in high demand and usually have long waiting lists for reservations, with Arthaud Yachting’s private concierge service you will always have a table available. Sardinia best local dishes
A typical Sardinian meal called ‘Fregola Sarda alla Vongole’ consists of tiny pasta balls (fregola) covered in a flavorful, fragrant white wine pomodoro sauce and garnished with fresh clams and basil. An absolute must-try.
Pompia is a Sardinian-only citrus fruit that falls halfway between a lemon and a grapefruit in terms of flavor. The inhabitants found that it makes a great digestive liquor. Enjoy its benefits after a large pasta and/or pizza meal.
If you happen to find yourself in the Ogliastra province on the east of the island you must try the local delicacy ‘Culurgiones,’ stuffed pasta dumplings filled with potato and mint, and porceddu, a spit-roasted suckling pig.
The local culture of Sardinia
Sardinia is also rich in culture and history. Some points of local culture to check out include the island’s ancient nuraghi, Bronze Age stone structures that are unique to Sardinia. These include the Giant’s Tombs of Li Lolghi, which reveal the extraordinary fortitude of the Sardinian people. These graves, which date to 1500 B.C., are said to be those of giants who formerly lived on the island.
Each year in late May, the town of Sassari hosts the ‘Cavalcata Sarda,’ a traditional festival that has a long history. The first celebration was held in 1711 when a parade honoring King Philip V was organized by the Sassari municipal council. The celebration kicks off with a traditional morning procession that features a variety of Sardinian ethnic costumes and decorations. This celebration is jam-packed with traditional Sardinian music, songs, dances, delectable local cuisine, treats, and fruit.

Best beaches in Sardinia accessible from your yacht rental
The Spiaggia del Principe is well-known for a reason—it is thought to be the most picturesque beach on the coast, even though it may become a little busy in August. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon spent dipping in and out of the ocean from the comfort of your private yacht. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and a bar service are also available along the beach.
The pink beach, or Spiaggia Rosa, is arguably the Maddalena archipelago’s most recognizable beach. This beach, which is located on the island of Budelli, is a revered natural wonder all over the world. The beach’s distinctive pink tint is caused by sand-sized coral fragments and shells that have been washing ashore for countless years. The beach is only partially accessible by land, but you can still visit it in peace while aboard a luxury yacht rental.
Spiaggia Rena Bianca is a fantastic pristine blue flag beach, the sand is as immaculate as the clear waters. This is the main beach of the coastal town of Santa Teresa Gallura, this is a great place for a morning swim before heading ashore to discover the charming streets of the town.
